Large high-quality pollen databases are essential for answering many large-scale palaeoecological questions. I contributed as a member of the MADCAP group by “awakening” the European Pollen Database (EPD), enhancing data accuracy, and encouraging people to contribute their data. We also run a similar project of the Czech Quaternary Pollen Database (PALYCZ). Since the EPD decided to move under the Neotoma database umbrella, I helped with this migration and continued curating data as one of the data stewards.
